ABOUT US
Our church family started as a small group of local and military families gathering together in a kindergarten classroom in Palisades Elementary School in the late 1960s, as a mission of the First Baptist Church of Pearl City. Today, as God's people, we are reforming and realigning our minds, hearts, and practices to the authority of the Lord found in His Word. We strive to be a biblically faithful church that glorifies God in all that we do by enjoying the Lord, proclaiming His good news and expressing the goodness of His rule and reign in our lives.
OUR VISION
We aim to abide in Christ together and to proclaim Christ as Lord over all of our lives. We long to see people come to know the joy of salvation in Jesus. And we long to see Jesus treasured above all else, receiving a unique and particular glory through our church, as we love God, love each other, and reach the world.
OUR MISSION
As one of Jesus’ churches, our mission is to glorify God in Christ by making disciples of all nations. This means baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything He has commanded. We obey His commands by gathering to worship and living together as a family of disciples. Each Sunday, God sends us out in the power of the Spirit to bear witness to the Gospel in every area of our lives.
Meet Our Pastor
Taylor was born in Montgomery, Alabama, where the Lord brought him to faith in Christ as six years old. Though he did not understand everything about salvation at the time, he knew he was a sinner who needed Jesus, and that Christ had fully provided for him through His death and resurrection. Almost immediately, God gave him a deep and lasting love for His Word. Even at six, he wanted to grow up to be “a fisher of men” (Matt 4:19), and this calling was confirmed through his church in high school. The Lord graciously provided mentors who helped cultivate and direct that calling. He has been preaching since 2013 and serving on staff at churches since 2016.
Taylor serves as the Lead Pastor. He earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies (Union University, 2016) and a Master of Divinity (Beeson Divinity School, 2019), and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Theology for the Church at Beeson Divinity School. He is married to Ashley, and they have been married for 10 years. They have the joy of raising two wonderful children – Isaiah and Lillian Joy.
